RenerCycle has obtained the ZeroWaste certificate from Bureau Veritas for the dismantling of the Muel wind farm, owned by RWE.
According to the certificate, 99.8% of the materials have been recovered or recycled, placing us on the verge of total #ZeroWaste.
‘This project demonstrates that it is possible to achieve recovery rates of over 95%, and even close to 100%, thanks to the processes, methodologies and tools developed by RenerCycle,’ said Javier Villanueva, CEO of RenerCycle. ‘Contrary to the widespread belief that wind turbine components cannot be recycled, this project certified by Bureau Veritas confirms that we are very close to true ZeroWaste.’
The 99.8% result in Muel shows that RenerCycle already has mature technological solutions for recovering materials at scale, with transparent metrics verified by independent third parties.
We continue to work to turn that 99.8% into 100%, scaling up industrial solutions that give materials a second life and strengthen the circular economy in Europe.
